Flin Flon

The Base Camp of Westwood Lodge is located on scenic Big Island Lake, three miles south of Flin Flon, just a short drive off Highway #10. The lake is 6 miles long, as the name states, there is a "big island" in the center of the clear, blue water. The depth of the lake ranges from three feet to one hundred and fifty (150) feet! Perfect for lake trout, or northern pike. You can fish along the shoreline, off the dock, or try some of the "hot spots" on the lake. There are boats and motors available to rent, or you are welcome to bring your own equipment. Freezer facilities are provided for the guests.

There are six light housekeeping cabins along the shore line at the base camp. Each cabin is equipped with a fridge, stove, kitchen necessities, double, single, or bunk beds and the bedding. One cabin (two bedroom) is fully modern while the other five cabins each have a small bathroom and the use of the central showers. These cabins have either one or two bedrooms.
